A new lift on Alfred-Desrochers hillside

Appreciated by all skiers for its unique landscape, the Alfred-Desrochers hillside needed a little breeze of freshness! Inaugurated in 1965, in the presence of Mr. Alfred Desrochers himself, the current double chairlift will be replaced by a quadruple chairlift!

Get on board

The new Doppelmayr fixed quadruple lift represents an investment of 4.5 million dollars which will clearly enhance the practice of skiers on this mythical hillside!

We are increasing boarding capacity by around 60%, in addition to being obviously faster and more efficient! The lift, which is mainly sheltered from the wind on this hillside, will also include an easy-to-use boarding mat.

For the uphill skiing fans

The popularity of uphill skiing at Mont-Orford has skyrocketed and its community is growing! In order to meet this demand, the resort will inaugurate 3 new ascent paths this winter, on Giroux North, Giroux East and Orford hillside.

Mont-Orford is proud to be the ski resort of the Eastern Townships with the largest network of trails and trails!

3 new shelters

That's not all ... In order to enhance the practice of this popular sport and offer a little more comfort, 3 shelters will take place at the top of each of our hillsides. Fans will be able to change their equipment or take a break after their ascent away from bad weather.

A new trail map will be available shortly.

TOWARDS THE NEXT GENERATION

Our beginner zone does not stop getting a beauty! After adding a second magic carpet and a dome covering them, the beginner zone grows and above all will become modulated.

Indeed, we have enlarged the beginner zone this summer: on one side, we find a standard slope for learning and on the other, a slope with modulated sections and several types of bumps to facilitate learning, and of course, guaranteeing fun for apprentice skiers!
