GENERAL POLICIES

  • Every player must have his own set of clubs (or rent one).
  • Respect the game time of 2h15 for a 9-hole.
  • Our goal for every golf player is for them to play a 18-hole in 4h30 or less.
  • Respect the 8 minutes pause between the two 9-hole courses.
  • Play every hole respecting the time allowed to each one of them.
  • Follow the group in front of you closely. Adjust your rythm with the group in front of you and not the group in your back.
  • Respect the golf kart rules :
      • Be careful.
      • Respect the 90° rule or the “rough only” rule.
      • Avoid driving within 30 feet of a green.Always use cart paths when possible.
      • Follow the indications on the course and stay at least 10 meters away from the greens and the sand pit.
  • Effectively use carts: let your partner to his ball and go immediately to your ball.
  • No passing between green and sand traps with a hand cart.
  • Respect the course and the environment by replacing divots and ball repair marks on greens, and by raking the bunker
  • Divots must be replaced.
  • Respect the rules given by course officials.
  • On green, leave your equipment towards the next departure.
  • The ground patrols have been trained to help you enjoy your day.
  • Be vigilant about the patrol flag.
    – Green : everything is under control. Keep your rythm.
    – Yellow : You begin to be late, accelerate the pace of play.
    – Red : You are very late, pick up your ball and go to the next hole.
  • Alcoholic beverages coming from outside the Golf Club are prohibited.
  • Plastic coolers are not allowed on the course.

LOCAL POLICIES

  • Out of bounds: Bounded by white stakes and the Route 141.
  • Hole 13: The tee shot should end up to the right of the white line, if the ball is out of bounds.
  • Distances are calculated in green center.
  • The waters bounded by yellow stakes are water obstacles.
  • The waters bounded by red stakes are lateral water hazards.
  • Winter rules are in force throughout the season:
    • Reduction of 15 cm possible only when the ball is in the fairway.
    • A ball in the rough can not be moved.
  • Prohibition to walk and look for balls in places identified as “HABITAT NATUREL PROTÉGÉ”.

  • Hole 17: The left of the green channel is not defined by red stakes, that’s why you are entitled to relief if your ball is found there.

DRESS CODE

  • Soft spikes or spikeless shoes.
  • Dressy jeans are permitted.
  • Collared shirts and t-shirts without logos or images are accepted.
  • Camisoles are prohibited.
  • The sleeveless shirts for women are allowed.
  • All players must wear at all times a sweater.

DISCOUNT POLICY IN CASE OF RAIN

  • Together with the “Association des terrains de golf du Québec”, the Mont Orford Golf Club has developed a new policy in case of rain that will allow golfers to enjoy the most of their day, even in rainy weather .
  • In case of rain, the golfer who wants to end his part will receive a credit voucher applicable on its next game at the Mont Orford Golf Club.
  • This credit note will be calculated according to the number of holes played.
  • The golfer must present themselves at the reception desk to get their raincheck.
